Terms and Conditions:
 
Eligibility
1. Customers must successfully apply for the Platinum Business Card issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (“the Bank”) in Hong Kong between 10 June 2008 and 31 August 2008 (“the Promotional Period”) to enjoy the promotional offers.
2. If a customer is entitled to receive the promotional offer(s) under this promotion and is also entitled to other promotional offer(s) under another concurrent promotion run by the Bank with respect to applications for new Platinum Business Card, the customer is entitled to receive only one of the promotional offers of the highest value as determined by the Bank.
3. Customers who have cancelled any Gold Business Card or Platinum Business Card of the same company issued by the Bank in the preceding 3 months from the application date of a Platinum Business Card under this promotion are not eligible for the promotional offers.
4. Cardholders who already possess a Gold Business Card or a Platinum Business Card issued by the Bank will not be eligible for the promotional offer if they apply for a new Platinum Business Card in respect of the same company or business enterprise during the promotional period.
 
Promotional Offers
5. Customers must indicate the choice of either the Samsonite Proteo Rolling Tote – Black (with laptop shock absorber) or HKD500 worth of gift coupons in the Business Card Programme Application Form. Once chosen, the gift cannot be changed. If the customer does not indicate the choice, HKD500 worth of gift coupons will be offered to each new Platinum Business Cardholder.

Each new Platinum Business Cardholder is required to spend over HKD5,000 in eligible card transactions with the new Platinum Business Card within the first 3 months of the issue date of the card collection advice and present the related original redemption letter to redeem the chosen gift.

7. Eligible card transactions refer to all types of sales transactions (including but without limitation to cash advances, bill payments, online purchases, mail and telephone orders and insurance payments). Non-sales transactions including but without limitation to finance charges, cash advance charges, late charges and annual fees, are not included.
8. Each company who applies online successfully for the Platinum Business Card will receive HKD50 worth of gift coupons.
 
Gift Redemption
9.

Samsonite Proteo Rolling Tote – Black (with laptop shock absorber) or HKD500 worth of gift coupons: (a) Redemption details, including redemption method, redemption centre address and redemption deadline will be provided on the redemption letter issued by the Bank. The redemption letter will be issued within eight weeks after the spending requirement is satisfied. (b) The redemption letter will be sent to the statement address of each eligible cardholder. (c) All redemptions must be made on or before the redemption deadline specified on the redemption letter. (d) The eligible cardholder can authorise a third party to collect the gift with an authorisation letter. The authorised person must present a copy of the Platinum Business Cardholder's HKID card and the original copy of the redemption letter upon redemption.
10. HKD50 worth of gift coupon: The HKD50 worth of gift coupon will be sent to eligible companies by mail within eight weeks from the issue date of the card collection advice.
11. Gift/gift coupons are available while stocks last. The Bank reserves the right to replace the gift/gift coupons with other items without further notice. In the event of overwhelming response to this promotion, cardholders may experience some delay in receiving the gift/gift coupons. In such a case, the Bank will notify the affected cardholders of the relevant arrangements through the redemption letter.
12. Gift/gift coupons cannot be converted into cash. The bank is neither the manufacturer / supplier of the gift nor the issuer of the gift coupons, and will neither be responsible for the quality and availability of the products or services of the relevant merchant nor assumes any responsibility for the goods and services provided by the relevant merchant. The gift coupons may be subject to the relevant merchant's terms of use.
13. In case of duplicate redemption or any fraud or abuse in relation to the free gift/gift coupons redemption, the Bank reserves the right to debit an administrative cost of HKD600 to the Platinum Business Card account of the related cardholder who made the redemption.
   
General
14. Photo and reference retail prices of gifts are for indication only. The bank is not responsible for setting the reference prices or any difference between the reference prices and the actual prices available in the market.
15. In case of disputes arising out of this promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
16. In case of discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
17. Employees of the Bank are not eligible for any promotional offers.
18. The bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
19. All the terms and conditions listed above are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
