Thematic Focus of the HSBC Living Business Programme 2012
|
Entering the eighth year, the HSBC Living Business Programme 2012 has set a thematic focus of 'Supply Chain Sustainability' – promoting sustainability along supply chain. Supply chain sustainability is the management of environmental, social and economic impacts, and the encouragement of good governance practices in the supply chain of a business. Capacity building events will be organized to inform businesses of the benefits and know-how of supply chain sustainability.
New features of the HSBC Living Business Awards 2012:
To align with the thematic focus of supply chain sustainability, two new features have been included in the HSBC Living Business Awards 2012:
1. Broaden SME eligibility to benefit more businesses in the supply chain – An 'SME' is defined as an enterprise with no more than 250 employees in Hong Kong for either manufacturing or non-manufacturing enterprise
2. Accept nomination from businesses – To encourage businesses to actively promote and convey sustainability to their suppliers, the HSBC Living Business Awards 2012 accepts nomination from businesses for their suppliers and contractors to participate in the Awards
